Cox's Bazar Fish Landing Center and Wholesale Fish Market

The world's longest beach and natural beauty tourist area's Cox's Bazar Fish Landing Center and Wholesale Fish Market established in 1965-66 on 3.70 acres of land on the west bank of Bakkhali River in Cox's Bazar district. It is a statutory autonomous body under the control of Bangladesh Fisheries Development Corporation (bfdc.gov.bd).
It is the only hygienic and safe fish landing center in Cox's Bazar district.

Mr. Pius Costa, the former chairman of the Corporation, bought 3.70 acres of land from the Deputy Commissioner, Cox's Bazar last August/15 for a token price of Taka 101 Thousand.
The objective of this department is to promote healthy landing of marine fish, reduction of post-landing wastage, strengthening cooperation between fishermen and traders in proper management of fish marketing activities.

To maintain the beauty of the tourist town of Cox's Bazar, Cox's Bazar Fish Landing Center and Wholesale Fish Market will being modernized and attractive with the help of JICA.
